just outside of New Ulm, Texas

- for rental

My wife and I have just completed the four year restoration of a 1890 German Farm House just outside of New Ulm, Texas.

It is two miles from New Ulm, 16 miles from Fayetteville, and about 20 miles from Round Top.

The country house is nestled in the woods on a 19 acre tract with a pond and walking bridges. There are walking trails and lots of wildlife.

The house, 2000 square feet, has nine rooms and a porch with rocking chairs, and includes a large master bedroom with King bed, and two additional bed rooms, each with two Twin beds, a complete kitchen and spacious living room.  Antique furniture is in each room.

Farm House Features:

Central air/heat, electric fire place, 7 ceiling fans, TV (local reception only), DVD player, picnic bench between house and pond, floating fish food to feed fish in pond, security lighting.  Recently, additional furniture, lamps, framed wall hangings, cabinet books, games, display items, have been added.

Located just 20 miles from Round Top (and nearby Warrenton and Carmine) and the semi-annual Texas Antique Festival, 30 miles from La Grange and the MS 150 Fair Grounds, 6 miles from Industry - the MS 150 passes right through Industry, 22 mles from Bellville (the MS 150 stops there for lunch), 8 miles from The Falls Golf Course and restaurant, 2 miles from New Ulm, Wine a Bit wine bar and the Texas Star Cafe, 14 miles from Fayetteville and several restaurants, 18 miles from Columbus and lots of stores and restaurants, 22 miles from Brenham and the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream, 9 miles from Cat Spring and Carol's Kitchen (great fine dining restaurant), 7 miles from Frelsburg and the famous 120 year old Hiensohn's Country Store.

The house in available to be rented.
